"FATHER TED" is a wonderfully funny situation comedy produced by Hat Trick Productions for the UK's Channel 4, written by Arthur Mathews and Graham Linehan. It aired over three series from 21 April 1995 until 1 May 1998.

Father Ted as a production listed the four main actors as co-stars - Dermot Morgan played Father Ted; Frank Kelly - Father Jack;  Ardal O'Hanlon as Father Dougal and Pauline McLynn as their long suffering housekeeper Mrs. Doyle - would ya lik a cuppa tea Faatha? Ah go on, go on go on.......

"SHOWER OF BASTARDS!" was a phrase often uttered by Father Jack - Channel 4 on-demand service should be at this link:-  http://www.channel4.com/programmes/father-ted

However the phrase was not created for the show - in Irish venacular "shower of bastards" is a fairly mild term of criticism inferring that those refered to are disreputable and less than trustworthy.

Seems to fit Aviva to a tee eh?
